Mustang Mach-E GT - the fastest of the Fords
When Ford decided to use the “GT” badge on the MACH-E, it was a promise of stunning performance. And the company did follow through, launching a “GT” version of its electric bestseller. In doing so, it offers a car that accelerates to 100 km/h in under 4 seconds.
Performance, MagneRide suspension and Brembo brakes

The electric Mustang Mach-E GT's performance comes from a pair of electric motors delivering 487 hp and 860 Nm of torque. The car accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds. This meant that at its launch (orders were taken in Poland from autumn 2021), the Mustang Mach-E GT was the fastest-accelerating production car the brand had ever offered in Europe.
The car features MagneRide adaptive suspension, plus bumpers and 20-inch wheels designed specifically for this version, with a pattern reserved for this top-of-the-range e-Mustang. Another distinguishing feature, this time meant to handle the stopping, are the ventilated brake discs (385 mm in diameter) with red “Brembo” calipers, and 245/45 Pirelli tyres, which are 2.5 cm wider than those on the other versions of the car with the wild mustang on its bonnet.

Aerodynamic package and GT interior
The most powerful version of the electric Mustang Mach-E has styling touches inside and out that are unique to the GT. At the front, the car has large air ducts that channel the airflow to the sides. In the centre of the bumper there is a wide slot. A splitter takes care of the airflow under the car, pressing it down and keeping it stable. Integrated into the rear bumper is a diffuser that allows faster cornering. The aerodynamic package is rounded off by styling extras: body-coloured wheel arch trims and a “three-dimensional” grille. It is worth adding that the car has a lower centre of gravity and 17 mm less ground clearance than the other models in the range.
Inside, too, you will find features reserved for the “GT” version, the most eye-catching being the special seats. The Ford Performance seats have integrated headrests.
Drive modes, displays and energy consumption

The damping characteristics are matched to the driving modes, of which the Mustang Mach-E GT offers four, including one - “Unbridled Extend” - reserved exclusively for this version. Ford points out that in this configuration the car should only be used on a closed track. The other modes are “Whisper”, “Engage” and “Unbridled”. Behind these emotionally charged names are the eco, normal and sport functions. Unfortunately, these modes can only be selected via the touchscreen. The rotary drive selector only lets you switch on stronger regenerative braking with the “L” button. It is a pity there is no option to adjust regeneration with paddles on the steering wheel either.
The screen in front of the driver is a narrow rectangle - here Ford has gone in the opposite direction to most of its rivals, whose displays are huge. The very clear presentation of energy consumption data deserves praise. You know how many “electrons” went on “driving”, “climate control” or “accessories”. During the test, which was mainly motorway driving on the Warsaw - Łódź - Warsaw route, the car used 24 kWh/100 km. The user is also clearly informed about how charging is progressing.

It is worth stressing that the Mach-E, now in production for several years, keeps receiving significant if invisible improvements. The traction batteries have greater usable capacity, and both range and charging speed have increased. A battery pre-conditioning function before charging has also been added - it works when a DC charger is set as the destination in the factory navigation.
Test summary
If you want to drive with zero emissions, very fast, and in a car with a wild Mustang on the bonnet, the Ford MACH-E in “GT” form seems a very good choice. The car stands out for its technology, looks and equipment.
